The OLPC Laptop XO-2

The OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) plans for a second-generation XO laptop (XO-2), as well as an interim update to the systems. OLPC XO laptops are designed to provide students with low-cost access to technology. OLPC said the target price for the next-generation machines will be $75.

Targeting a price of $75 for the new units, OLPC will be reducing the number of moving parts in the machines and using new display and processor technologies. The machines will also be smaller and will consume just 1 watt of power--one-half to one-fourth of the current XO's power consumption and somewhere between one-twentieth and one-fortieth the power consumption of standard laptops.

In addition, the machines will have enhanced dual-display capabilities with touch-sensitive screens.

The XO-2 is targeted for a 2010 launch.

About Technorati

Currently tracking 112.8 million blogs and over 250 million pieces of tagged social media.

Technorati is the recognized authority on what's happening on the World Live Web, right now. The Live Web is the dynamic and always-updating portion of the Web. We search, surface, and organize blogs and the other forms of independent, user-generated content (photos, videos, voting, etc.) increasingly referred to as “citizen media.”

Blogs are influential, personal, or both, and they reflect as many topics and opinions as there are people writing them.

Blogs are powerful because they allow millions of people to easily publish and share their ideas, and millions more to read and respond. They engage the writer and reader in an open conversation, and are shifting the Internet paradigm as we know it.

The World Live Web is incredibly active, and according to Technorati data, there are over 175,000 new blogs (that’s just blogs) every day. Bloggers update their blogs regularly to the tune of over 1.6 million posts per day, or over 18 updates a second.

Stumble Upon Or Digg. what is best?

About Digg:
Digg is a user driven social content website. Everything on Digg is user-submitted. After you submit content, other people read your submission and “Digg” what they like best. If your story receives enough Diggs, it’s promoted to the front page for other visitors to see.
Kevin Rose came up with the idea in 2004. Through eLance he found programmer Owen Byrne and paid him $10/hour to develop the idea. Rose paid $99 per month for hosting and $1,200 for the Digg.com domain. In December of 2004, Kevin launched his creation to the world through a post on his blog.
About Stumble upon:
eBay acquired stumble upon in May of 2007 for $75,000,000(75 million) US dollars,it was designed by Geoff Smith, it works on Firefox, seamonkey, internet explorer . Stumble upon allows its users to discover and rate web pages, photos, and videos. Users can rate, or choose not to rate, any web page with a thumbs up or thumbs down. stumble upon approximately has 2.1 million users and 4+ million sites are “stumbled” daily.

Stumble upon has the advantage of getting traffic many days and getting the site up to the first page.
Digg has the advantage of having “controlled” traffic. Anyone watching their posts as they’re submitted and rising on Digg can point if and approximately when their page will go popular

Three Online Backup Services

Online backup service provides you the facility to transmit your important data over the Internet and securely stored on a server in a professional data center instead of being stored on your own CDs, DVDs, or backup tapes. Here are the three top backup services :
1. Mozy
To get started with Mozy, visit their website and sign up for an account. Download and install their software, tell it what files or types of files to backup, and then set it to automatically backup whenever you like. Mozy gives you up to 2 GB of storage on Mozy's servers. MozyHome costs $4.95/month and allows for an unlimited amount of data backup. This service sets Mozy above all others.
2. IDrive-E
Some features that make IDrive-E stand out among the competition include mapped drive support, file sharing, more frequent continuous backup, and support for server operating systems. IDrive-E Basic is completely free and gives you up to 2 GB of storage. IDrive-E Pro costs $4.95/month and they advertise "unlimited backup." However, their Terms of Usage page defines "unlimited" as no more than 150 GB.
3. Carbonite
Carbonite's online backup service works in a similar way to the other services - you download and configure a piece of software and the backup is handled automatically in the background. Carbonite's service costs $49.95/year and allows for an unlimited amount of data backup.

Tips For Online Shopping Of PC

1. Spring for RAM.If you want a faster more flexible system you will need to have plenty of memory, especially when you run more than one task at a time (say, recording a TV show while watching a DVD). A minimum of 1GB is needed; upping the ante to 2GB will give you the oomph to run several programs at once without slowing your PC down.
2. Buy lots of storage.Hard drives are most needed and a lot of because whatever space you do have, you'll fill.
3. Go dual core.Though you may pay a bit more for a dual-core system (typically a premium of $20 to $50), dual-core CPUs like the Intel Core Duo and the AMD Athlon X2 are faster and more flexible than their single-core cousins.
4. Buy a big LCD.Some vendors bundle cheap PCs with a low-cost CRT monitor, but don't fall into that trap. An LCD monitor causes less eye strain, and takes up less space on your desk. If your system comes bundled with a baseline 15- or 17-inch LCD, try to upgrade to a larger screen. A typical 19-inch display costs $100 more than a 17-inch model.

And one last thing that you buy the PC online from any website like eBay. The best thing would be that you only buy from eBay because it gives the kind of PC that you like but in low cost.

A Way To Earn From Your Web

Some Weeks ago Google introduced a new service called Ad Manager. It gives Web site publishers more control over their ad sales and ad serving. Google's target users are SMBs. It's yet another free service; there are no fees associated with Ad Manager. Google will, however, take a commission on revenue from ads it sells on your site.
Google Ad Manager is a hosted ad management offering that can help you sell, schedule, deliver, and measure all of your directly sold and network-based inventory. It combines your direct sale team's efforts with AdSense and ads placed from other ad networks and parses them through Ad Manager. Than it selects and places the ads with the highest CPMs --cost per thousand impressions -- into open inventory on your site.
Google has convinced a few companies to test it out. Sarah Romer, director of sales and marketing for Washingtonian.com, said, "Google Ad Manager has helped us in two major ways -- it saves us time, and saves us money. Google's easy-to-use system of creating orders, ad placements, and uploading creative has cut my average trafficking time per campaign in half."

This Submachine gun has been manufactured up to 1959, in several countries it is being manufactured modernized to some extent nowadays. In 1959 there was a modernization of the submachine gun aimed to increase its technical and operating characteristics. At the same time light machine guns were developed with a fixed and folding butt on the basis of the submachine gun "RPK-47".
At the end of 60th - beginning of 70th years the works on creation of the submachine guns for cartridges reduced and caliber began. It was aimed to increase the battle efficiency and operational characteristics of the weapon. After a number of experiments the cartrige 5.45x39 with a steel bullet slug was chosen.
In 1990 the Army was equipped with the modernized Kalashnikov submachine gun AK-74M, having folding plastic butt with the accessory placed in it and a plate for mounting optical and night sights.
In 1991 the same modernization was carried out with a light machine gun. And so the modernized Kalashnikov light machine guns RPK-74M (5.45 mm) was adopted in armament. It replaced four modification of light machine guns.

Newtons Three laws Of Motion

speed, velocity, acceleration, time, distance, displacement, position are the basic principals on human body, artificial machineries, vehicles and our universe moves and work.
To explain the above phenomenon Newton presented his three laws of motion and change our understanding of the Universe .
His three laws states that:

1: "Evey body continues in the state of rest or of uniform motion
in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by
an external source impressed on it".
The first law of motion is also known as (law of inertia).

2:"When a force acts upon a body an acceleration is produced
in the direction of force and the magnitude of acceleration
is directly proportional to the and are inversely proportional
to the mass of the body".
Formula:
F=ma
In above equation "F" is the force "m" is the mass where as "a" is the acceleration.

3:"action and reaction are equal in magnitude but opposite in
direction".

RUTHER FORD'S ATOMIC MODEL

After the discovery of an atom by john Dalton new theories and laws were represented about atom and its particals by many scientist one of the atomic model was represented by Ruther ford in 1911.
The model described the atom as a tiny, dense, positively charged core called a nucleus, in which nearly all the mass is concentrated, around which the light, negative constituents, called electrons, circulate at some distance.
Ruther Ford's atomic model represents the solar system of the universe.

DALTON ATOMIC THEORY

DALTONS ATOMIC THEORY

The concept of an atom was presented by john Dalton long before two centuries ago.

It was quite a success for the scientist of that period but after his theory many scientist

challenged it and proposed there own but according to Dalton's theory .

it states that.

Dalton's Atomic Theory

1) All matter is made of atoms. Atoms are indivisible and indestructible.

2) All atoms of a given element are identical in mass and properties

3) Compounds are formed by a combination of two or more different kinds of atoms.

4) A chemical reaction is a rearrangement of atoms.

But modern atomic theory is little bit change to Dalton's theory .

Today we know that atoms can be destroyed during nuclear reactions but not by chemical reactions. Also, there are different kinds of atoms (differing by their masses) within an element that are known as "isotopes", but isotopes of an element have the same chemical properties.

Many chemical phenomena were quickly explained by Dalton with his theory. Dalton's theory quickly became the theoretical foundation in chemistry.

WiFi on Facebook And Orkut

or

You may soon be able to chat with your Face book and Orkut friends even without an Internet connection, for scientists have developed an application that may make it possible to network, chat, or share files without Internet access.
The Researchers at Technion-Israel Institute of Technology have come up with an application that may make it possible to chat and even play collaborative games with friends who also have installed the application.
There are two components to the application, dubbed “Peersonalizer,” a Face book application and a module inside the free, down loadable WiPeer software.
WiPeer makes direct wireless (WiFi) communication between computers possible -- without intermediary devices such as Internet routers -- at distances of up to 900 ft. Peersonalizer uses technology that can also be applied to other social networking sites such as Orkut, MySpace, Friendster and LinkedIn.

“This application takes social networking to another level,” said Friedman.

“Peersonalizer demonstrates that Internet-based social networks can serve as complementary mechanisms -- rather than replacements -- to social and business life,” he added.

The application has been developed by two Technion Faculty of Computer Science students, Lior Biran and Tomer Einav, under the supervision of Friedman and PhD students Vadim Drabkin and Gabi Kliot.
