And I'll Fly One Day!

The heavy traffic on roads while going to office in the morning and coming back from there in the evening really makes me more tired. I sometime think if I could have a jet pack with which I can say good bye to that damn traffic. I've been searching for this thing, though it's not possible for me to make one, and if any engineer happens to make one, I'll probably not be able to afford it, (keeping in mind that most of the innovations are very expensive at their initial stages). SO the only thing I can do is to think about it!

Well, thinking is not bad, as it's the base of any development. Ok, let me think now, and you see how will you people fly when my dream jetpack will be in function!

Apple TV Take 2

It's now time for "Apple TV take two" - no computer is required. You can rent movies directly on your widescreen TV and you can rent them at DVD quality or you can rent then at high definition quality."

Apple says that at $229 (£116) of cost, the system hooks into the company's plans to offer films to rent over the internet through its iTunes store, also confirmed yesterday. The company further said that it would join film studios including 20th Century Fox and Sony to allow iTunes users to stream movies direct to their computer or TV for a one-off payment of between $3 and $5. And the system will have 1,000 new titles and back catalogue films available by the end of February.

Similar is the concept of BBC's iPlayer and Channel 4's on-demand service, Apple's systems will make downloads usable on iPods and iPhones as well as television sets.

Xbox Updates

Microsoft is going to introduce a new update for the Xbox 360’s dashboard and Xbox Live service by December 4, 2007. This update will be an automatic download for the 8 million Xbox Live subscribers. The new features that it includes are Family Control feature that limits how long a child can play with the console in a given day or week. It will certainly be a good one from parents' point of view, isn't it?

Another thing is that it can also be purchased and downloaded through Xbox Live Originals that were previously only available at retail. That's how Xbox Live continues to be a trend setter or unique for in the console market. Hopefully, though, it won’t crash any machines, as there has been some history of that in the past. Google Maps & My Location

Google launches Mobile Phone Locater, "My Location Feature in other words, a mobile phone application. This is Google's diversity and another step towards users' satisfaction.

Daily Tech Says, "Google doesn't want its users to feel likes its watching them -- to alleviate privacy concerns, the system is designed to have minimal access to user information. It will not collect or access the user's phone number or any other personal information that might help to reveal their identity. Steve Lee, product manage for Google Mobile Maps also said the feature could be easily disabled by clicking a link in the help menu, as a further safety measure to set the consumer's mind at ease."
