Nokia Sneaks In New Addition To XpressMusic Range

If you're after a phone that'll make text entry easier and can't wait for (or can't afford) the Nokia N97, there's a 'lite' version on the way, of sorts, in the form of the ExpressMusic 5730.

Strangely Nokia doesn't seem to have announced this one, but details of it are floating about and you'll find it to be one of those 'sandwich' phones where a QWERTY keyboard slides out from under the main display.

To be honest we'd thought we'd heard from the last of these things, and we're not overly impressed by the styling from what we've seen but it does make for a nice budget alternative.

Inside you'll find a Symbian S60 OS, 3.2MP camera, GPS and EDGE for data but sadly no 3G. There is 128MB of memory with microSD expansion and word on the street is that it might even include built-in WiFi.
Of course being an XpressMusic phone you'll also find a 3.5mm jack for connecting your own earphones and dedicated media keys, and if the rest of the range is anything to go by you can expect music quality to be pretty awesome.

It's scheduled for released in Europe in April, and will set you back around £200 before your typical operator subsidies.
