Lenovo U110 Takes Over Apple's MacBookAir

Ever since Steve Jobs first pulled the Macbook Air out of that envelope, similarly skinny rival notebooks have been emerging from the woodwork. The latest is the Ideapad U110 from Lenovo, which is about 18mm thin and weighs just over a kilo - that's actually slightly less than the Air, although the U110 does have a smaller screen size (11.1in opposed to the Air's 13.3in). There's no built-in optical drive, but you do get three USB ports, Ethernet and a 6-in-1 card reader. It's out now in the US for $1,999 (£1,000), but there's no word on a UK launch yet.
