Is Google Still The Search Engine Leader?

While reading a story on eweek.com, I just got confused. It stated and in fact claimed that Google is still the search leader. The confusing point was nothing but a post by SEO Disco, where by he has shown some very interesting facts about Google. Just attempting to have a proof of his reports I searched for 'search engine' in Google, and Google itself was no where on top pages. For a proof I'm attaching an image, have a look at it!

The only thing to ponder on is, whether Google will be SEOing it's home page or not, and or should Google do so?

Microsoft OneCare: Making Small Business Easier Ever

One of the biggest issues of home and small business network PCs is the security. According to Microsoft's research out of 50% of the PC users are too much concerned about the security issues.

The most highlighted news of today satetd that "Home and SMB networks usually aren't maintained by a full-time IT staff, but management and security issues still arise in those types of settings. Microsoft aims to fill that gap with the latest version of its Live OneCare subscription service, which the company says provides a simple and non-intrusive way to efficiently organize small computer networks."

Besides, all other factors, the most important feature of OneCare is probably the user friendliness, easy to understand features and of course the compatibility with both home and network PCs.

Microsoft is on the go to bring innovations and probably that's the reason it still rocks.

16 Million iPhones by the End of 2008

While browsing latest news about Apple iPhone, I've come across something not new. This is not new because the increased production aiming to generate more revenues has always been the ultimate strategy by big shots like Apple. The thing that made me to think was the consumption in fact, i.e. so many people with iPhone!

The story I've read can be found here , I'm just quoting a part of it here, i.e. related to my theme.

Apple’s iPhone is a multimedia and internet-enabled wireless device that was launched earlier this year in the US, and this month in Europe. The company is in talks to take it to China too. Merrill Lynch reported that Apple would only be shipping 4 million iPhones this year, but 12 million units will be shipped in 2008.

The company, according to sources, is talking to both telecom service providers and retailers, to bring the device to India. HCL Infosystems and Wipro Technologies were also reported to be close to becoming Indian distributors of the iPhone. Reliance Retail, which already has an electronics retail venture Reliance Digital, also figured in the list of potential partners.

The article was about the impact of iPhone on Indian Economy. Not sure whether it'll have any sort of effect on Pakistani Economy as well or not. Well, let's see what happens!

Why To Differentiate SEM and SEO

It was sometime back that I wrote on Essentials of Higher Search Engine Ranking. It was just an overview, explaining how does each of the component work. Later I happened to read some blog posts and some forum posts on webmasters forums , that just made me perplexed in SEM and SEO. I was in fact stuck at SEM thing as a whole, but on exploring the SEO and SEM avenues I'd come up with a major difference in both and that's nothing but the area of influence.

For further clarification, let's say SEM is a major field having a list of other activities in it, and SEO is one of those activities. SEO is only Optimization of content for Search Engines, while SEM is a whole field covering all aspects of marketing that is or can be done via SEs.

And it's very important to know and the difference and to plan accordingly, as Internet Marketing or let's say any other marketing can't get maximum exposure untill it's planned well and on strategic grounds. Well, that's what I've come up with till right now, it's not something must to believe.

Is iPhone Reliable?

Apple iPhone where it got a red carpet treatment on its launch not only in a particular market, but world wide, does have some technical drawbacks. That's not the problem with iPhone only in fact, instead everything as it's not 100% perfect has some drawbacks.

While just exploring iiPhone is reliable or not that found some technical drawbacks of Apple iPhone, don't know the exact level, but it weighs.
